INCLUSION ACTION IN ONTARIO
STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES IN EDUCATION AND THE COMMUNITY.
An inclusive education is the foundation for an inclusive life.
Inclusion Action in Ontario is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to the inclusion of students with disabilities in education and the community. We believe that inclusive education is the foundation of an inclusive life.
For over 30 years, our work has influenced educators and school boards, but we focus on providing support to families who are seeking to enrich the lives of their children. Together, we discuss their most important plans and goals for their children.
We fight for the right of students with disabilities to have a good life in the community, employment and educational opportunities, meaningful volunteer work, real choice, security in housing, and close reciprocal friendships.
OUR OBJECTIVES
To further the well being of exceptional children through improved educational opportunities
To facilitate the inclusion of persons with exceptionalities into all aspects of community life
To provide support for parents, relatives and friends of exceptional children and adults
To provide educational opportunities and information on issues related to inclusion

The Court emphasized the necessity for individuals with developmental disabilities to have their voices respected, challenging assumptions of incapacity. This aligns with IAO’s advocacy efforts, including the ‘My Home, My Way’ series, promoting independent living for those with complex needs. The decision marks a crucial step forward in the fight for autonomy and dignity for adults with developmental disabilities.”
