Charting The Life Course – Part 2

September 1, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

** This is part 2 of a two-part workshop. You need to attend part 1 on August 18th, 2021 in order to attend part 2. The information and registration below is for both sessions.

Are you concerned about your child’s future? Are you wondering what will happen for your family member as they get older and are finished with school? Are you looking for ways to help your child have a full and meaningful life?

If these questions are foremost in your mind, we would like to invite you to participate in our interactive, virtual, two-part Charting the LifeCourse Event. The Charting the LifeCourse framework was created by families to help others of all abilities and ages develop a vision of a good life, and learn about some practical tools and supports that can help make that vision a reality. The workshop will be presented by Darcy Elks who is an educator, consultant, human service evaluator, and advocate on behalf of people who are societally devalued. Darcy uses the Charting the LifeCourse tools, herself, and helps people with disabilities and their families to use them effectively.

DATE AND TIME
Charting the LifeCourse is a two-part event. The total fee is $15 for members of Inclusion Action in Ontario and $30 for non-members.

Workshop 1: August 18, 2021 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
In the first workshop, we will learn how to use the tools available at Charting the LifeCourse to work with our loved ones towards a good life. In addition, this first workshop will serve as a prerequisite for the second workshop.

Workshop 2: September 1, 2021 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
In the second workshop, we will focus on questions you may have about using the tools in particular circumstances.
