Select Testimonials

“What’s really intrinsic in learning about “leisure identities” is the combination between the doing and the relationship. We appreciate that others really see us’. Our identities naturally evolve over time. It is about we become known by what we are passionate about. That is important for all of us. Particularly for those who live with labels and are not always seen as contributors. Our passions help others to see one another as a belonging member of society.

“Sometimes the people we support actually don’t have access to a certain leisure passion unless they are being supported by someone. Now I am just being a little more mindful about whether that creates an experience of reliance or if that is something that is a positive experience for that person or maybe enriches that relationship. I haven’t really asked myself that question before. I’ve also been pondering how, for those leisure passions that the person pursues independently, how those might be linked to other people and linked very socially as well.”
